Today was a day of contrasting temperatures. When we left Baldwinsville, it was 55 and 90 when we arrived in Michigan. In between was a day of really good riding, blue skies and remarkably not a lot of traffic until we got to just outside of Detroit.
One of the things that we enjoy when we are on the road is visiting Harley dealers and collecting poker chips. Today was pretty much a dry hole though as we only found one dealer in proximity to our route that we had not already been to and they had no chips! Tomorrow is another day.
It is really good to see Cherif again and tonight we are plotting our next 2 weeks or so on the road. The bikes are washed and gassed and we anticipate leaving by about 7:30 tomorrow to avoid the rush traffic. Tomorrow our adventure starts in earnest.

A little break on a long day |

Two really good looking bikes. Tomorrow we go red, white and blue when Cherif joins us. |

A cold start calls for lots of layers

So that's the story of today. We hope to get a good night's sleep and tackle another 3-400 miles tomorrow.
