TWO DAYS AND A LAZY BLOGGER

Yesterday the drive for the most part was a continuation of the day before. It did change a bit around Theodore  Roosevelt National Park where we stopped for lunch. For about 10 miles we were treated to some remarkable scenes of the buttes and steppes of the North Dakota landscape.

Other than these scenes the riding day was again very hot, very flat and very windy. Early in the day Cherif had a bit of a mechanical problem. After some diagnosis by Kim and a conversation with Harley we had him back on his way. Later he was stung on the face by a bee and didn't feel too well for a bit on our next stop. Then we lost an hour when we passed into The Central Time Zone. We got 359 miles in. All good by the end of the day.

SUNDAY
Unfortunately last night Kim's Grandmother passed away. That of course will alter our plans going forward. Tonight we landed in Duluth, Minnesota and had planned on going to in Michigan to explore for a few days. Now we will simply spend the time it takes to get Kim back home so she can attend the services in New Jersey later this week.
Today was a nice riding day. For the most part it stayed a bit cooler today and we traveled along the lakes of Northeastern Minnesota. Very pretty scenery that reminds me of the Central Adirondacks. No mishaps either so it was a good day of 435 miles.

My poor Harley was really dirty, tonight's first job was a good cleaning

Tomorrow will be another full day on the road as we travel south and east along the shore of Lake Superior headed towards Northern Michigan.

These People in Minnesota cover it all on one shelf!!
